India is a country that occupies the greater part of South Asia. It is a constitutional republic consisting of 29 states, each with a substantial degree of control over its own affairs; 6 less fully empowered union territories; and the Delhi national capital territory, which includes New Delhi, India’s capital. With roughly one-sixth of the world’s total population, India is the second most-populous country, after China. India is a fascinating and energetic country filled with love letters written on stones and is located in the continent of Asia. India has also been ranked the second most populated country in the world with an astonishing population of 1,281,935,911 (2017) India is a very diverse country that is home to thousands of small ethnic groups and at least nine recognized religions. India is known for its one of a kind tourist attractions including exquisite temples, relaxing waters, striking wildlife (national parks), and is home to the most iconic monuments in India, the Taj Mahal, located in Agra.
